[Remote] Application Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is hiring an Application / Design Engineer for a technology-driven manufacturer specializing in advanced vacuum coating and thin-film coating solutions. This highly technical, customer-facing role involves partnering with customers to translate reputed company requirements into engineering solutions while traveling extensively to support installations and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers to understand technical requirements, application challenges, and project objectives
- Serve as the primary technical reputed company between customers and internal engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
- reputed company application engineering expertise to support the design and development of advanced coating systems, sputtering targets, hardware, software, and reputed company technologies
- Support customer reputed company from initial concept discussions through reputed company-of-concept testing, implementation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and post-sale technical support
- Travel extensively to customer facilities throughout the reputed company and internationally to support installations, process optimization, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and technical problem solving
- Collaborate closely with engineering and reputed company teams to identify new product opportunities, improve existing technologies, and drive innovation
- Participate in application development, product demonstrations, and reputed company-of-concept testing
- Communicate reputed company technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build long-term customer relationships while serving as a trusted technical advisor
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a reputed company technical discipline required
- Ten or more years of experience in vacuum coating, magnetron sputtering, thin-film processes, glass coating, or a closely reputed company technology
- Background in application engineering, process engineering, technical customer support, or advanced technical sales
- Strong troubleshooting and process optimization experience reputed company advanced manufacturing environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to reputed company effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 90–95% of the time
- Valid reputed company or the ability to obtain one is required
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting customers around the globe
- Master's degree in Engineering or a reputed company scientific discipline
- Additional language skills are a plus
