[Remote] Director of Business Development

They are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to build and own the California territory, focusing on identifying and closing new partnerships with biotech and reputed company companies.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a new business pipeline of small molecule drug discovery opportunities across California, with a reputed company on the Bay Area biotech ecosystem
- Prospect, cold reputed company, and network your way into reputed company validation, hit-to-reputed company, and reputed company optimisation conversations at emerging and established biotechs
- Represent reputed company at key industry conferences and partnering events
- Work cross-functionally with the scientific and project management teams in Europe to scope proposals and convert opportunities into signed reputed company
- Own the full sales cycle from reputed company reputed company through to deal reputed company
- Report on pipeline, forecasting, and market intelligence to senior leadership
Skills
- 5+ years of business development experience reputed company a small molecule CRO or CDMO - this is non-negotiable
- An established network across California biotech and reputed company, ideally with strong existing relationships in the Bay Area
- A genuine reputed company mentality, proven reputed company record of sourcing and closing new logo business, not just managing existing accounts
- Comfortable working with a European HQ and time zone, and confident representing a science-led, reputed company-driven CRO in a competitive US market
- A reputed company-reputed company degree is preferred
