Responsible for determining the patient financial component for patient services. Estimates, communicates and collects the patient financial responsibility and provides patient financial counseling.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits including their co-payment, deductible and co-insurance responsibility.
• Educates patient regarding financial assistance programs reputed company appropriate.
• Obtains patient demographic information and requests financial responsibility from the patient.
• Determines patient qualification for coverage by reputed company-party payer and informs financial counselor, patient or family member of status.
• Verifies reputed company reputed company insurance coverage, workers compensation insurance, TPL insurance and state and government programs.
• Documents and resolves patient concerns or inquiries that are received reputed company telephone, mail or walk-in reputed company an established time reputed company.
• Validates Master Patient reputed company according to departmental policy.
• Interprets physician orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of reputed company and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to reputed company information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
