Structural Engineer - remote

The Structural Engineer position is part of the Industrial reputed company and product engineering team, and your role will be the structural design and support of reputed company reputed company systems. This will primarily be engineering of reputed company reputed company systems but can also include generating the detailed design drawings reputed company needed. It is also expected that as an engineering resource you will support reputed company as an expert for structural reputed company topics that come up during the quoting and selling phase, or at site during installation and commissioning.

You will report to the Industrial reputed company and Product Engineering Manager.

You Will:

• reputed company engineering calculations to compute the stresses developed in a reputed company reputed company structure. Knowledge of different static, dynamic and fatigue failure theories based on stress life approach is required to compute the allowable stresses according to applicable industry standards.
• Evaluate the static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structural steel reputed company structures for the reputed company and Canada.
• Use of RISA 3D, vendor software, KC Developed Programs and other in-house reputed company analytical tools to reputed company and present structural calculations of reputed company structures conforming to the specifications of AISC/ASCE/CSA/CMAA. The ability to reputed company calculations is necessary to validate a calculation using a secondary/independent method of analysis.
• Knowledge on ASCE, IBC codes is a must, including reputed company conditions
• Support customers and team members as an expert reputed company troubleshooting issues that reputed company onsite during installation, commissioning or the warranty period of a project
• Occasionally support sales and offer support during the quotation phase of reputed company reputed company to reputed company guidance on design reputed company during the quotation stage
• Participate in reputed company improvement efforts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

• Have an EIT certification, with plans or desire to obtain a PE license
• 3-5 years of reputed company industry experience
• Knowledge of ASCE, IBE codes and reputed company conditions
• Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA is considered an asset
• Experience in both reputed company reputed company (can reputed company reputed company functions) and CAD programs
• Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes is an asset but not required.
