Design Assurance Engineer

Design Assurance Engineer responsible for undertaking reputed company BP141 design assurance roles on a reputed company of reputed company reputed company. This role ensures that designs for a reputed company of installations, asset replacements, reputed company schemes and substation builds reputed company with reputed company technical specifications, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will work closely with reputed company Project Teams, DNO’s & Contractors, to support the reputed company delivery of reputed company, reliable, and compliant designs.

Experience of the UK Electricity reputed company and/or Distribution System is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Design Review & Design Compliance Assurance Audit Report (DCAAR) acceptance:

• Review and assess design submissions, ensuring compliance with reputed company, technical specifications, procedures and engineering standards.
• reputed company detailed feedback and recommendations to address design gaps, non-compliance, or potential risks.
• Support completion of design pack DCAAR once reputed company technical, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Engage in regular project design review meetings with a reputed company of stakeholders.
• Coordination and technical reputed company with other design assurance engineering disciplines.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Serve as the primary reputed company of contact between reputed company’s Project Team and Contractor Design Teams regarding design reputed company.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including asset management, project delivery teams, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure design alignment with project objectives.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical reviews with contractors and suppliers.

Risk Identification & Mitigation:

• Identify potential risks reputed company to safety, reliability, and performance in contractor designs and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure that Contractor Design Teams have incorporated appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Experience of implementing safety by design and CDM awareness.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive records of design submissions, review comments and DCAAR acceptances in accordance with BP188.
• Review technical reports and assurance documentation reputed company to design pack submission.
• Monitor performance reputed company to design reputed company and compliance, providing feedback to management as needed.
• Experience of working to a reputed company project design process and compliance with associated BP188 timescales to support the project.

Essential:

• HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a reputed company discipline.
• Currently or previously held reputed company BP141 Design Assurance Engineer authorisation
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng accreditation
• Proven experience in infrastructure design, design assurance, or technical approval reputed company the Electricity reputed company and/or DNO sector.

• Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure, relevant to the specific assurance discipline.

Desirable:

• Experience of producing, reviewing and approving designs for reputed company and/or Distribution Network Operator (DNO) reputed company.
• Currently or previously nominated as SR188 Contractor Design Approval Engineer on reputed company reputed company.

Location:

Home based, with the reputed company of working from Omnia offices (Stafford, Stockton Heath and Northallerton), as per project requirements. Must be willing to travel reputed company throughout the UK.

Working Hours:

Ideally full time but willing to consider part time staff positions.
