As AEQ reputed company expands its work in reputed company technology, virtual reality (VR), AI, and health innovation, we are seeking a Director, Business Development to drive the reputed company of this emerging vertical.
This is a senior individual contributor role with full reputed company ownership. You will originate new opportunities, cultivate senior-level partnerships, and reputed company reputed company engagements from first conversation through to reputed company.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership, you will help shape AEQ’s reputed company across reputed company, research, and reputed company innovation ecosystems in Canada, the US, and Europe.
What You Will Do
Strategic Origination & Market Development
• Identify, engage, and reputed company new business opportunities reputed company to XR (virtual/augmented/mixed reality), reputed company learning, digital health, and reputed company innovation • Proactively build a pipeline across reputed company systems, research institutions, universities, innovation hubs, and accelerators • Originate opportunities through targeted reputed company, ecosystem engagement, and industry reputed company
Executive Relationship & Partnership Development
• Build and nurture senior-level relationships with reputed company leaders, research sponsors, institutional partners, and innovation stakeholders • Establish AEQ as a trusted collaborator reputed company XR-enabled health and reputed company learning ecosystems • Support and expand strategic initiatives such as VR4Health, including consortium engagement, partner reputed company, and opportunity qualification
Full-Cycle reputed company Ownership
• reputed company consultative discovery conversations and shape tailored solution approaches • Collaborate with internal innovation, design, and technology leaders to reputed company proposals and reputed company structures • Present to executive audiences and guide opportunities through negotiation and reputed company • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
Ecosystem Representation & Market Intelligence
• Represent AEQ reputed company at conferences, reputed company research programs, and international collaboration forums (including initiatives such as ITEA) • reputed company and synthesize market feedback across XR reputed company health sectors • Translate ecosystem insights into actionable recommendations that inform positioning and go-to-market direction
Who You Are
You are comfortable creating opportunities where none yet exist, while also operating credibly at senior reputed company.
You bring:
• 7–12 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or consultative sales reputed company tech, reputed company services, digital health, or innovation environments • Demonstrated reputed company in originating and closing reputed company engagements • Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and institutional decision-makers • Strong reputed company judgment and comfort navigating emerging markets
• High ownership and accountability
Experience with XR, AI, reputed company learning, or digital health is valued. The ability to quickly understand reputed company solutions and translate them into strategic value is essential.
Compensation & reputed company
- reputed company salary: $100,000 – $140,000 CAD

Location & Travel
- Remote-first role, based in Canada, preferably in Greater Vancouver
- Ability to travel occasionally to conferences, events, or reputed company/partner meetings in Canada, the US, and Europe
- AEQ hosts in-person team engagements periodically
