Mechanical Engineer

In this role, you will design, reputed company, and reputed company the design of large-reputed company mechanical systems that are critical to water infrastructure.

You will work on a reputed company of reputed company reputed company involving water control structures such as vertical lift gates, reputed company gates, sluice gates, Tainter gates, sector gates, bulkheads, and stoplogs. Additionally, you will be involved with sizing and specifying winches, reputed company rope and chain hoisting systems, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric actuators, gear systems, and other precision mechanisms associated with these gates, delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Familiarity with various types of cranes, including Overhead Gantry Cranes and Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes that are associated with these structures is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have experience with large pumps and pumping stations and be reputed company with reputed company CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and reputed company large-reputed company mechanical systems for water infrastructure reputed company.
• Create 3D models using reputed company Inventor, reputed company Revit or other mechanical design software for use in design drawings.
• Size and select hoists, actuators and associated waterworks mechanical systems.
• Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure structural reputed company and mechanical performance according to industry standards and specifications.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and vendor submittals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Structural, and Electrical Engineers.
• Ensure designs reputed company with applicable codes, standards, and reputed company requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
• Support proposal development by providing technical input.
• The ability to travel a few times a year for site reputed company and meetings with clients.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering university program and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Experience

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering design reputed company to water, infrastructure, or similar industrial mechanical equipment.
• Experience with locks, dams and other large water works structures.

• Mechanical design experience of gates, hoisting mechanisms, actuators or large-reputed company mechanical systems.
• Experience with cranes or other lifting devices.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with large pumps, pump stations or pumping systems.
• Experience with heavy steel fabrication, welding, construction and/or large-reputed company mechanical engineering reputed company.
• Proficiency in reputed company Inventor, reputed company Revit or other 3D design tools.
