If you are a Java developer, with a Data & Performance reputed company, who likes to go reputed company REST endpoints and DTOs, and you enjoy understanding how data really flows through a system, this role is for you.

This role exists following the retirement of a long-standing engineer with deep system knowledge. We are not looking for a like-for-like replacement, but for a reputed company, curious developer who enjoys understanding reputed company systems and making them reputed company.
You’ll be at the intersection of Java backend development and database engineering, with reputed company ownership and room to grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Database & Data reputed company (Core reputed company)
- Work directly with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server (reputed company experience also welcome) • Design, analyze, and improve database schemas used by long lived applications • Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability
- Understand execution plans, indexes, locking, and transactions
- Investigate and solve reputed company production performance issues
- Learn how large datasets behave under load and how to reputed company them faster

Java Backend Development

- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server (reputed company is a plus)
- Willingness to dive into performance tuning and data-heavy problems.
Desirable
- Experience with data-intensive or performance-sensitive systems
- Exposure to the CCM (Customer Communications Management) domain
- Experience evolving or maintaining long-running production systems
- Curiosity about how systems behave at reputed company.
