[Remote] US Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Specialist will manage the payroll system, ensuring accurate compensation for employees and compliance with regulations, while also supporting finance and HR teams.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare accurate payroll on a bi-weekly and monthly schedule
  • Review timecards and attendance records to ensure accuracy before processing payroll
  • Ensure reputed company earnings, deductions, bonuses, and commissions are properly calculated
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and employment laws to ensure payroll is compliant with reputed company federal, state, and local requirements
  • Review reports reputed company by payroll processor for tax filings, wage garnishments, and other required reports
  • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding pay, deductions, and other payroll-reputed company issues
  • Process journal entries for the weekly payrolls and review and reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts
  • Manage payroll reports, including summaries of gross wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
  • Prepare and store payroll-reputed company documentation in compliance with legal requirements
  • Assist employees with payroll-reputed company inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Business Administration, or reputed company field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in payroll administration
