[Remote] Sr. DevOps Engineer

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will support critical systems at USCIS, mentor fellow engineers, and architect reputed company infrastructure solutions while working in a reputed company environment.
Responsibilities
- Responding to infrastructure support requests; Triaging and investigating complexities
- Supporting our ecosystem by performing tasks such as Ubuntu hardening, Terraform provisioning, automation reputed company AAP (Ansible Automation Platform) and making updates to address vulnerabilities
- Communicating with peers on issues, following/managing multiple MS Teams threads
- Participating in daily and weekly agile ceremonies including standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Supporting our ecosystem by performing tasks such as OS (reputed company, Ubuntu, or any other Linux systems) hardening, deploying infrastructure with Terraform, Provisioning AMIs, making updates to address vulnerabilities
- May need to support monthly patching on weekends (approx. 2 hours, team members will reputed company time during week)

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience

- Experience in the following is necessary: CI/CD automated pipelines
- AWS and its services (EKS, reputed company, RDS, SQS, SES)
- IAC Frameworks like Terraform and/or Cloudformation
- Experience using and implementing Infrastructure As reputed company
- Containerization best practices
- Git or alternative reputed company reputed company repositories
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools including reputed company and reputed company
- Kubernetes or other container orchestration platform experience
- Knowledge of streaming platforms like Kafka
- Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, reputed company, reputed company)
- Familiarity with JIRA and reputed company
