The role involves administering and maintaining reputed company DB2 databases, ensuring their performance and reputed company, while also providing technical leadership and support for modernization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Senior reputed company DB2 Database Administrator supporting the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) DESTINY application
- Administer, configure, and maintain reputed company DB2 databases on mainframe platforms (LUW or z/OS)
- Ensure database performance, availability, reputed company, and disaster recovery for a mission-critical DMV system
- reputed company DB2 installations, upgrades, migrations, patches, and version management
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and SQL queries
- Implement and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Support application releases; synchronize and implement database changes with development teams
- Maintain database reputed company, reputed company, user reputed company, and ensure audit compliance
- Analyze execution plans, tune indexes, memory pools, storage, and database structures
- Implement schema modifications, indexing strategies, and table partitioning
- Support modernization, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of DMV systems
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for server, storage, and network performance
- reputed company technical leadership, best practices, and mentoring to development teams
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reputed company DB2 technologies
- Work with high-volume transactional reputed company systems and government/DMV applications (preferred)
