[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to reputed company and maintain systems and applications for their financial crime investigation platform, focusing on building new features and modernizing existing ones.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering to design and execute on reputed company engineering solutions across backend, frontend, and data architecture
- Build and maintain production systems, including services (Go, Python, Node), the UI (React/Typescript), databases (PostgreSQL, reputed company, Elasticsearch), reputed company containerized on AWS
- Regularly participate in reputed company reviews
- Weigh in on architectural reputed company and participate in our RFC process
- Mentor and reputed company knowledge with the rest of reputed company
- Profile production systems to identify performance issues or bugs by analyzing SQL queries and database performance, profiling application waits, tuning networks for latency
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a software development role
- Degree in Computer Science or a closely reputed company field
- Proficiency in Go / Golang, relational databases / SQL, and a scripting language of your choice
- Strong system design skills
- AWS expertise, including containerized workloads on managed services
- Strong debugging skills inside of distributed backend systems
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with other engineers and be responsible for the reputed company you ship
- US-based
- Background in financial services, payments, or regulatory technology
