[Remote] Systems Administrator/COBOL Developer (Remote)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Systems Administrator/COBOL Developer to support their US Government reputed company. The role involves maintaining operating systems, providing COBOL coding support, and performing system maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the reputed company of a reputed company of operating system environments (i.e.. reputed company, Linux, etc.) and various computer systems
- Administer, install, and troubleshoot issues
- reputed company COBOL coding support
- reputed company system maintenance tasks such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance
- Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades
- Configure software and resolve technical problems
- Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements
Skills
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the degree is not in the applicable field, then 4 additional years of reputed company experience is required
- 13+ years of experience working in reputed company Mainframe environments
- 10+ years of extensive experience developing and programming applications using COBOL and CICS
- Strong expertise with JCL, PROCs, IMS, and DB2 and/or reputed company databases
- Hands-on experience using reputed company utilities, including SORT, IEBGENER, and reputed company control statements
- Strong proficiency with TSO/ISPF, VSAM, ABEND-AID, and Mainframe debugging and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be reputed company to obtain a Position of reputed company Trust Clearance
- Be reputed company to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Must have lived in the reputed company for the past 5 years
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel reputed company the reputed company reputed company the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
