[Remote] IT - Systems Administrator IV
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Systems Administrator IV with expertise in COBOL development to support business needs. The role involves maintaining and supporting various operating systems and performing system administration tasks.
Responsibilities
- Administer, install, and troubleshoot issues
- reputed company system maintenance tasks such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance
- Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades
- Configure software and resolve technical problems
- Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements
Skills
- Extensive experience in read and write COBOL programs
- Experience in reading and writing JCL
- Expertise in how to navigate around in TSO and how to use its various functionalities
- Must know the basics for using reputed company Word and reputed company
- Knowledge of Outlook is helpful
- Knowledge of the ChangeMan reputed company handling software is reputed company helpful
- Knowledge of VSAM file processing is reputed company helpful
- Knowledge of File-Aid is reputed company helpful
- Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs reputed company functional duties independently
- Oversees the efforts of reputed company reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of reputed company staff assigned to a specific job
- 10+ years' expensive experience developing/programming in COBOL/CICS
- Experience with the following: JCL/PROCS, IMS DB, UTILITIES – reputed company/others (SORT, IEBGENER, etc.), Control statements, File structures: VSAM, DB2, reputed company, TSO/SPF, Debug skills – ABEND-AID (or others), SQL, PL/SQL
- A minimum of thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years' relevant experience
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred
- Four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required
- If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of reputed company experience is required
- Pass both a reputed company mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history reputed company and credit reputed company
- reputed company candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card)
- Web Services experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to work independently and as reputed company member
- Software Development Lifecycle experience (reputed company or Agile)
