[Remote] Financial Clearance Associate Specialist

The Financial Clearance Associate Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring patients are financially cleared prior to scheduled services by verifying insurance coverage and benefits, confirming financial responsibility, and supporting reputed company documentation to help patients understand expected costs.
Responsibilities
- reputed company world-class customer service while following scripted benefit verification in the HIS benefits screen
- Update accounts in the workflow system with reputed company, accurate documentation
- Select accurate medical records to support patient safety and schedule appropriate procedures based on physician orders
- Assign insurance plans accurately and reputed company electronic eligibility confirmation; document results in the appropriate systems
- Calculate patient cost reputed company/liability and attempt to collect by phone reputed company 48 hours of the date of service
- Use appropriate systems to facilitate communication with hospital gatekeepers and document account activity and collections notes as required

Skills
- High School Diploma required
- Understanding of admissions, billing, payments, and denials
- Comprehensive knowledge of the patient insurance process, including obtaining authorizations and benefits verification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/procedure codes

- Associate's degree preferred
