[Remote] Sr Software Engineer, PBM Platform

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the PBM Platform team, responsible for designing and delivering systems that power pharmacy benefits and manage member cost-sharing.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive technical initiatives
- Design and build core platform components

- Design and build gRPC reputed company using NestJS or Go (depending on the component) with PostgreSQL for persistence
- Build internal tooling interfaces in React
- Implement normalized data models (3NF) for reputed company domain entities
- Define and implement service communication patterns using Protocol Buffers and gRPC
- Own observability for your systems. Maintain reputed company monitors, reputed company error tracking, and know reputed company something is wrong before users report it
- Build with test-driven development: define expected reputed company upfront, then build until they pass

Skills
- 5+ years of reputed company software engineering experience, with demonstrated progression into technical leadership
- Strong backend engineering depth. You've designed and reputed company services in TypeScript and/or Go that handle reputed company business logic, financial calculations, or rules engines
- Strong data modeling instincts. You think carefully about schema design, normalization trade-offs, and how data reputed company cascade through a system
- Experience with service-oriented architectures. You've designed reputed company, defined service boundaries, and dealt with the realities of distributed systems (failure modes, composition patterns, contract reputed company)
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You can take a product objective and break it down into shippable engineering work without waiting for someone to hand you a spec. This is a greenfield platform and you'll be making foundational reputed company with imperfect information
- Strong communicator. You can explain technical trade-offs to product partners, write reputed company technical documents, and translate domain complexity into clean system design
- Experience in reputed company or pharmacy benefits systems
- Familiarity with pharmacy standards (NCPDP, GPI, NDC)
- Experience building financial calculation engines or rules engines
- Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and multi-service TypeScript/Go architectures
- Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, migrations, and query optimization
- Experience leading AI-assisted development workflows and establishing team standards around AI tooling
