The role involves supporting systems administration, managing servers, monitoring network systems, and troubleshooting various issues to ensure reputed company functionality.
Responsibilities
- Provides Systems Administration support for an organization, functional unit or line of business
- Administers development, test and production servers, including reloading, re-imaging and debugging problems
- Installs, removes and upgrades software packages on test, development and production servers
- Performs daily monitoring of network systems, independently initiating proactive measures to ensure functionality, connectivity and load balance
- Troubleshoots systems and host environments, identifying and resolving faults, inconsistencies and systemic issues
- Evaluates, recommends and implements solutions to ensure systems functionality and compliance with company standards
- Provides network and systems evaluation and operational reports
- Updates systems records and ensures maintenance of accurate information
- Ensures computer programs in company use are properly licensed, adhere to company standards and are operational and functional
- Assists systems users by creating instructional how-to guides and by providing technical information and training
Skills
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government to conform to U.S. export control regulations
