[Remote] Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the conceptual and preliminary design of reputed company mechanical equipment and reactor core components, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to reputed company innovative design solutions.
Responsibilities
- reputed company mechanical design solutions for reputed company equipment and components, including engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions
- Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned mechanical design activities while maintaining project schedules and technical objectives
- reputed company engineering test strategies and support product testing to validate functional and performance requirements
- reputed company engineering trade studies and scoping analyses to evaluate design alternatives
- Conduct engineering reviews and reputed company technical feedback on designs, analyses, and documentation
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
- reputed company technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, suppliers, and subcontractors as needed
- Support reputed company improvement initiatives by applying engineering best practices and identifying opportunities to enhance design processes and product reputed company
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a reputed company engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of equipment or mechanical component design experience (relevant Master's or Ph.D. degrees may substitute for up to two or four years of experience, respectively)
- Experience using 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Experience designing and executing engineering experiments with an emphasis on product testing and validation
- Experience performing finite reputed company stress analysis, mechanical analysis, and first-principles engineering calculations
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple engineering assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-reputed company engineering work
- Experience supporting product development in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, reputed company, defense, or energy
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Experience developing engineering documentation, test plans, and design reports
- Familiarity with engineering standards, reputed company systems, and design verification practices
- Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel reputed company reputed company III, Division 5
- Experience using ANSYS for finite reputed company analysis
- Experience supporting first article production, manufacturing processes, supplier technical reviews, and nonconformance reputed company
- Knowledge of thermal-hydraulics, structural analysis, neutronics, or reputed company engineering disciplines
