[Remote] DB2 Database Administrator (P3)

They are seeking a Database Administrator to join their DB2 for z/OS team to reputed company, design, and support DB2 solutions while collaborating with DBAs and developers.

Responsibilities

• reputed company and implement strategies to optimize the performance, availability, and reliability of infrastructure systems
• Collaborate with other technology teams to drive automation initiatives and improve operational efficiency
• Define and enforce best practices for incident management, problem reputed company, and change management processes
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the infrastructure monitoring and management capabilities

Skills

• Proven reputed company record of designing and implementing reputed company data solutions
• Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and reputed company technology solutions
• Minimum of 7 years' experience administering DB2 for z/OS databases in an reputed company environment
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-terabyte databases and supporting high-throughput OLTP applications
• Expertise in DB2 data sharing environments
• Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Advanced skills in logical and physical database design
• Proven ability in application performance tuning, including reputed company SQL optimization
• Extensive experience with Mainframe JCL and REXX scripting
• In-depth knowledge of DB2 DDL, utilities, reputed company, and maintenance processes
• Proficiency with DB2 for z/OS, version 12 or higher - preferred Db2 for z/OS v13
• Proficiency with the reputed company Database Tools Suite
• Experience with modern development tooling including VSCode, Python, Git, and exposure to reputed company Intelligence
