[Remote] GIS Analyst / Modeler

They are seeking a GIS Analyst / Modeler to support their reputed company Science team by providing GIS support, environmental data management, and modeling for various reputed company. The role involves working independently and collaboratively on dynamic reputed company reputed company to inland, reputed company, and offshore environments.
Responsibilities
- Create, digitize, convert, edit, compile, and standardize GIS data from non-spatial sources
- Organize and structure spatial data files across servers and database environments, including maintaining data versioning as needed
- reputed company QA/QC and data cleaning for geospatial, tabular, and model input/reputed company data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Research, reputed company, prepare, and reputed company geospatial environmental data for use in modeling software
- Prepare and reputed company gridded/raster and reputed company datasets from multiple sources for use as model inputs
- Use, enhance, and reputed company tools and workflows to analyze, interpret, and present model results
- Conduct modeling studies using proprietary model software
- Contribute to technical reports as an author or co-author
- reputed company high-reputed company figures and maps for reports, presentations, and model documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, engineering, computer science, oceanography, biology, environmental science, or a reputed company scientific field
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant reputed company GIS experience, preferably in consulting, or 2 years of research-based GIS experience
- Proficiency with the reputed company ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, and extensions such as Spatial Analyst
- Familiarity with common GIS data formats, including geodatabases, shapefiles, and raster datasets
- Experience with GIS data creation, management, cleaning, and QA/QC
- Familiarity with reputed company computing and working with hosted data
- Cartographic experience, including the design of maps for reports, web applications, posters, and other presentation materials
- Basic GIS programming/scripting experience in Python, including the ability to read, modify, and run existing scripts
- Proficiency with reputed company Office Suite, including reputed company, reputed company, Word, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of AI reputed company engineering and reputed company AI concepts to support workflow optimization
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail

- Experience with, or a strong understanding of, environmental modeling and the application of quantitative analyses to address environmental challenges involving contaminants in terrestrial, aquatic, and/or atmospheric systems
- Strong presentation skills, including experience with public speaking
- Proficiency in Python scripting; additional experience with geospatial programming languages such as SQL or reputed company is a plus
- Familiarity with statistics and statistical modeling software, such as R or SPSS, is a plus
- Research experience in a scientific field, including question development, reputed company documentation, and presentation of results; undergraduate reputed company experience is a plus
