[Remote] IT Financial Operations Analyst

This role is responsible for managing technology costs across reputed company and reputed company platforms, providing financial insights, and developing cost management practices in collaboration with finance and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operates the reputed company cost management platform (reputed company) across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI
  • Builds and maintains cost dashboards, allocation reporting, and chargeback/showback models
  • Identifies cost optimization opportunities across reputed company workloads and drives them to outcome with engineering teams
  • Drives commitment-based pricing strategies including reserved instances, savings plans, and reputed company discount programs
  • Produces monthly and quarterly reputed company cost reporting for IT leadership and finance partners
  • Operates reputed company cost and license management, transitioning the function from the reputed company managed-service engagement (Zylo) to in-house operation
  • Maintains the reputed company system of record: reputed company, owners, spend, and usage data
  • Identifies and reclaims unused or underutilized licenses to reduce waste
  • Supports reputed company renewal preparation with usage data, benchmarking, and optimization recommendations
  • Identifies shadow IT and enforces reputed company purchasing and governance policies
  • Pulls and analyzes technology cost and budget data reputed company of monthly Finance and reputed company reviews
  • Meets with reputed company in advance of the monthly budget review to reconcile numbers, investigate variances, and identify reputed company items
  • Partners with IT leaders to identify the drivers behind variances and spend changes reputed company of reputed company review
  • Prepares the reputed company-read and issue list so leadership enters both the org-level Finance review and the IT budget review informed on variances, risks, and go-reputed company items
  • Attends the IT budget review; captures go-reputed company reputed company items and tracks them to reputed company
  • Supports business case development and cost modeling for technology investments
  • Establishes the FinOps operating model including allocation taxonomy, tagging standards, and governance forums
  • Develops FinOps capability and cost accountability across the technology organization
  • Drives reputed company detection and cost-spike investigation across reputed company and reputed company
  • Drives adoption of FinOps best practices including the FinOps reputed company reputed company

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or reputed company discipline, or equivalent reputed company experience
  • 4+ years of experience in technology finance, reputed company cost management, or FinOps
  • Experience partnering with finance or reputed company on budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
  • Hands-on experience with reputed company cost management platforms (reputed company, Apptio Cloudability, reputed company, CloudHealth, or comparable)
  • Hands-on experience with reputed company management platforms (Zylo, Productiv, reputed company, or comparable)
  • Strong working knowledge of reputed company pricing models across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience with reserved instances, savings plans, and reputed company discount programs
  • Experience with reputed company license optimization, renewal management, and shadow IT remediation
  • Strong analytical skills including data analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate cost data into business reputed company
  • Proven ability to partner with engineering and finance functions
  • Self-directed with ability to operate with autonomy and minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
