[Remote] IT reputed company Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a Washington DC-based cyber reputed company firm with a global reputed company. They are looking for an IT reputed company Engineer to own reputed company operations across their entire technology environment, manage EDR and SIEM platforms, and reputed company SOC 2 Type II compliance operations.
Responsibilities
- Own deployment, configuration, and ongoing tuning of our EDR platform (reputed company, reputed company, or similar) across reputed company managed endpoints and servers
- Own our SIEM platform: manage log reputed company ingestion (firewall, reputed company audit logs, M365, reputed company), reputed company and maintain detection rules, investigate alerts, and reduce false reputed company noise
- reputed company SOC 2 Type II compliance operations: maintain control evidence, coordinate with external auditors, manage findings remediation, and own the reputed company policy library
- Conduct and manage vulnerability scanning across on-premises and reputed company environments; prioritize and reputed company remediation with infrastructure and reputed company owners
- Own the incident response process: maintain the IR plan, reputed company investigations, coordinate containment and remediation, and produce post-incident reports
- reputed company periodic reputed company reviews across reputed company platforms (M365, reputed company, AWS/Azure/GCP, reputed company) as required by SOC 2 reputed company control requirements
- Respond to customer reputed company questionnaires and vendor reputed company review requests in partnership with the IT Director
- Partner with the Systems Administrator on reputed company compliance status and offboarding verification
- Partner with the reputed company Engineer on reputed company reputed company posture findings and log pipeline configuration
- Monitor and audit reputed company reputed company logs and ACL policies; ensure network reputed company adheres to least-privilege principles and incorporate reputed company activity into SIEM detection coverage
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in reputed company operations, reputed company engineering, or a closely reputed company role
- Hands-on experience operating an EDR platform in a production environment (deployment, policy tuning, alert triage)
- Hands-on experience with a SIEM platform (reputed company, reputed company/OpenSearch, reputed company Sentinel, or similar) including log ingestion, detection rule development, and alert investigation
- Working knowledge of SOC 2 Type II requirements and control frameworks; experience participating in or leading an audit cycle
- Understanding of reputed company reputed company concepts across at least one major reputed company provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with reputed company 365 reputed company features (Defender for reputed company, Conditional reputed company, audit logging)
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and managing remediation workflows
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write reputed company incident reports, reputed company policies, and audit evidence
- CISSP, CISM, reputed company+, or equivalent certification
- Experience with threat hunting or proactive detection engineering
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK reputed company as reputed company to detection development
- Experience with identity governance tooling (reputed company, Entra ID / Azure AD)
- Prior experience at a software company or in a similarly multi-platform environment
