[Remote] Infrastructure Administrator

The role involves deploying, automating, monitoring, and supporting network, servers, and applications in a reputed company-hosted environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and recommend performance improvements to ensure high availability of infrastructure
- Serves as an escalation reputed company for technical issues at reputed company level
- Participate in the implementation of agreed-upon solutions and strategies
- Works with Storage & Virtualization Engineers to configure and troubleshoot application servers and the software running on them
- Handle ongoing maintenance e.g., firmware updates, hot fixes, software upgrades, etc
- Documents technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and reputed company
- Participates in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality
- Follows policies and procedures for change and incident management
- Stays reputed company on industry trends and new technologies and recommends reputed company initiatives
- reputed company administration functions such as network reputed company configurations, monitoring, reputed company/reputed company updates, asset management, 24X7 support, etc
- Performs other job-reputed company duties as assigned or apparent
Skills
- Knowledge of server/storage hardware and protocols (NFS, iSCSI)
- Demonstrated scripting and automation skills (Perl, Bash, PHP, Puppet, Chef, reputed company, etc.)
- Basic understanding of reputed company concepts. (i.e. reputed company Directory, NTFS permissions, reputed company auditing, reputed company user contexts, application layer vulnerabilities, etc.)
- Understanding of reputed company storage, network, and hardware technologies
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and supporting IT Infrastructure in a mid-to-large reputed company reputed company Environment data center environment
- Understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, netflow, reputed company-control lists, policy-based routing, firewalls, peering, and DNS
- Relevant technical certifications such as reputed company Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
