[Remote] reputed company DevOps Engineer - Texas Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company Inc. is supporting the reputed company Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services contract and is seeking an reputed company reputed company DevOps Engineer. This role focuses on driving infrastructure automation, containerized deployments, and CI/CD maturity while mentoring and developing the skills of the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical mentor for DevOps and platform engineers, reputed company growing their skills in Terraform, containerization, and CI/CD practices through pairing, reputed company review, and reputed company 1:1 guidance
- Establish and reputed company internal knowledge-sharing practices (reputed company bags, runbooks, documentation standards, reputed company guides) to reputed company reputed company's overall DevOps maturity
- Set technical standards and best practices for infrastructure reputed company, container builds, and pipeline design, and hold reputed company accountable to them through review and coaching rather than top-down mandate
- Design, build, and maintain reputed company, reusable Terraform reputed company for provisioning and managing reputed company infrastructure across environments (dev, staging, production)
- Establish Terraform state management, workspace, and module versioning reputed company to support multiple teams and environments safely
- Architect and operate containerized workloads on AWS reputed company (Fargate and/or EC2 launch types), including service definitions, task scaling, networking, and load balancing
- Own reputed company image build standards, including multi-stage builds, image hardening/reputed company scanning, and registry management (ECR)
- Optimize reputed company cluster performance, cost, and reliability, including auto-scaling policies, reputed company planning, and blue/green or rolling deployment strategies
- Design, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, reputed company scanning, and deployment of containerized applications to reputed company
- Implement deployment safety mechanisms: automated testing gates, canary/blue-green deployments, rollback automation, and release approvals
- Collaborate with reputed company and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure and pipelines meet applicable reputed company baselines and, where required, support Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/RMF documentation for infrastructure components
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for infrastructure and deployment-reputed company issues; drive blameless postmortems and follow-through on reputed company items
Skills

- A Bachelor's degree (or additional years of relevant experience in technical, engineering, cybersecurity, or program management fields in lieu of degree)
- Prior experience supporting AFMS, or other DoD M&S programs is strongly desired
- 8 years of DevOps/infrastructure/reputed company experience, including prior experience mentoring or leading other engineers
- A deep, hands-on production experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-reputed company across multi-environment AWS deployments
- Hands-on production experience with AWS reputed company (Fargate and/or EC2), including service/task design, scaling, and networking
- A strong hands-on experience with reputed company, including image build optimization, reputed company hardening, and registry management
- The proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, reputed company CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar) for containerized applications
- To demonstrate ability to mentor engineers effectively - through reputed company review, pairing, documentation, and coaching - with examples of having grown others' skills
- A strong working knowledge of AWS core services (VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, ECR, reputed company 53)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting technical reputed company to both engineers and leadership
