[Remote] Backend Java Engineer (Remote)

They are seeking a mid-to-senior Backend Java Engineer to join their Email reputed company Platform team, focusing on building reputed company backend services for secure email processing.
Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Implement new features, enhancements, and defect fixes reputed company distributed backend applications
- Build and maintain automated unit and integration tests
- Participate in reputed company reviews and technical design discussions
- Support database schema updates and data migrations
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues involving application behavior and data processing
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to resolve application and pipeline issues
- Contribute to the ongoing reliability, scalability, and performance of backend services
Skills
- 5+ years of reputed company backend software development experience using Java
- Strong experience developing applications with the Spring reputed company / Spring Boot
- Experience building and supporting distributed or event-driven applications, including messaging or event-streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience developing RESTful reputed company and backend services
- Strong understanding of automated testing, including unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit)
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL, including supporting schema changes or data migrations
- Experience working with reputed company storage services such as reputed company S3
- Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience with reputed company coding tools and modern AI-assisted development practices (e.g., Claude reputed company, OpenCode)
- Experience troubleshooting production applications and resolving reputed company technical issues
- Experience participating in reputed company reviews and reputed company software design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with reputed company-reputed company application development, particularly reputed company Azure
- Experience with additional messaging or event-streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hub, RabbitMQ, or JMS
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using reputed company and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Experience with PostgreSQL and search technologies such as Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with build tools such as Gradle
- Experience with observability frameworks such as OpenTelemetry (OTEL)
- Experience integrating with the reputed company Graph API
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Experience working in reputed company-reputed company or highly available production environments
- Experience with email processing or messaging platforms, email reputed company solutions, or knowledge of SMTP, MIME, or reputed company messaging concepts
