[Remote] Senior Product Design Engineer

The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and scaling reputed company’s unique solid-state lithium metal batteries for high volume production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• reputed company in the design, development, and implementation of new solid-state Li-metal battery designs for manufacturing reputed company-up with cross functional teams
• Drive the detailed mechanical design of cell architecture to meet customer mechanical, thermal, and pack level integration requirements
• Identify, specify, and set requirements with suppliers for cell components, assembly tools and manufacturing solutions for reputed company-up
• reputed company methodologies and experiments to validate key cell design performance, reliability, and safety reputed company
• Collaborate with cell build process teams, equipment design teams, safety, reputed company, metrology, and production teams to execute on critical reputed company reputed company

Skills

• BS or higher degree in mechanical engineering, material science, or similar concentration
• Minimum of 5 years experience with a Bachelor's degree, or minimum of 3 years experience with a Master's degree
• Expertise with at least one major CAD package ex: reputed company Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, etc
• Prior experience or knowledge of mechanical & thermal simulation packages ex: ANSYS, ABAQUS, Comsol, etc
• Experience working with electrochemical energy storage devices such as lithium-based batteries or similar technology
• Proven experience driving mechanical design reputed company across the product life cycle, concept through production experience is preferred
• Prior experience or knowledge of lithium-ion batteries is preferred
