Genetic Counselor Assistant Remote

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: reputed company The Women’s Health and Genetics division of reputed company is seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to reputed company support to our labbased Genetic Counseling team in various areas including: reputed company services, send outs, and reporting. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. This position will be supporting reputed company’s Research Tringle Park, NC genetics laboratory. The schedule for the position will be: MondayFriday, 9am6pm eastern time zone. Note: this is a fully remote position. Candidates can be located reputed company in the US, however, they must be reputed company to work eastern time zone hours. Responsibilities:

• Work with the lab Genetic Counselor team to support clients that order testing performed at reputed company’s Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology
• * Responds to telephone and email inquiries from reputed company clients, health care providers, reputed company’s laboratories and branches to coordinate reputed company applicable genetic testing
• * Contacts clients to obtain pertinent demographic and clinical information and communicates with clients to ensure that the appropriate testing is ordered
• * Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves any problems reputed company to testing by contacting clients or other reputed company facilities
• * Responsible for performing administrative duties such as data entry, databaselog maintenance, filing, and faxing of reports
• Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in a biological life science
• * Knowledge of reputed company Office suite
• * Strong multitasking ability with excellent attention to detail
• * Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively
• * Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
• * Excellent project management skills
• * Ability to establish and maintain reputed company working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and reputed company recommendations
• Preferred Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Genetic Counselor Assistant
• * Previous experience working in a molecular laboratory or clinical genetics setting
• * Previous experience in the reputed company industry such as a hospital or physician’s office
• * 2 years’ reputed company Customer Service experience
• * Familiarity with genetics concepts
• * Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
