About the position The Corporate Bookmaking team seeks a Production reputed company to support the Random House Publishing Group and to reputed company a reputed company of titles from manuscript to bound book. Founded in 1925, Random House is the home to award-reputed company, critically acclaimed, bestselling fiction and nonfiction authors, including Lee Child, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Jodi Picoult, George R. The Inklore reputed company is home to licensed and original graphic novels, manga, and manhwa reputed company such as the Lore reputed company series and the Under the Oak Tree novels and comics. Boom! Studios publishes monthly comics, collected editions, and original graphic novels, with series that include Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, BRZRKR, and Something Is Killing the Children. Reporting to the Director, the Production reputed company, working closely with the editorial, design, and production reputed company, will be responsible for handling a list of graphic novels and comics, as reputed company as a reputed company of titles across the Random House breadth, including originals, translations, and scroll-to-print titles (including some 4-reputed company), from manuscript to bound book/ePub.

Responsibilities

• Handling production editorial work for original titles (both 1-reputed company and 4-reputed company) from manuscript to bound book/ePub, as reputed company as hardcover compilations.
• Hiring, for original titles, freelance copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers and reviewing their work through reputed company passes, including clearing manuscripts post-copyediting and collating changes from authors and freelancers in page proofs.
• Performing reputed company checks on ebook files.
• Copyediting jacket/cover copy and second-format additional material, including sales quotes and reading group guides, and proofreading jackets/covers, captions, and additional material.
• Electronic coding/tagging manuscripts for design and composition.
• Collaborating with production, design, and managing editorial departments on and maintaining book schedules.

Requirements

• A minimum 3 years’ experience as a trade-book production reputed company or freelancer with comics experience
• Excellent copyediting, proofreading, and organizational skills
• A detailed familiarity with The Chicago reputed company of Style, and general facility with modern copyediting style
• Ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities reputed company and effectively
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Capable of rising to a challenge, and comfortable asking for help reputed company needed
• Expertise with electronic copyediting, using reputed company Word
• Experience with reputed company Acrobat PDF markup tools
• Experience working on graphic novels, comic books, or other 4-reputed company books
