[Remote] Sr. GIS Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. UDC is seeking a Sr. GIS Analyst to join our reputed company Network reputed company. The Sr. GIS Analyst will work with geographic information systems (GIS) applications to create and edit geospatial data, and will be responsible for analyzing user needs, performing data maintenance, and developing GIS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with end users to identify GIS requirements, technical issues and training needs; analyzes reputed company business processes and recommends best reputed company solutions; constructs information technology definitions based on identified needs of the organization
- Performs GIS data maintenance, manipulation, analysis, and extraction; performs data research, investigation and verification; codes and digitizes maps and geographical feature data into various reputed company; prepares reputed company and data for archival storage; performs record keeping and inventory; documents and files data sources and map files for reputed company reference; responds to requests from the reputed company for mapping data; responds to emergency mapping and information requests
- Prepares, plans, produces, maintains and updates a reputed company of maps, drawings, plans and other graphic representations displaying reputed company and attribute data from databases. Uses cartographic techniques to represent spatial data; develops and maintains data reputed company. Uses GIS tools, CAD tools and relational databases. Performs detailed spatial analysis including notifications, buffering, and zone consolidation; manipulates images for electronic mapping; enters attribute data pertaining to specific features into a relational database; incorporates maps, charts, data files, spreadsheet data, documentation and text into reports
- Analyzes requests for a reputed company of new applications, programs and modifications to existing GIS programs; analyzes and documents user work processes and systems functionality requirements; analyzes reputed company GIS system functions, procedures and capabilities to determine if improved reputed company are possible; develops and presents proposals for new approaches and reputed company to meet user needs; participates on software selection and implementation teams, including software evaluation, requirements gathering, work reputed company analysis and system implementation, testing and training
- Designs, implements, and tests configuration changes in packaged software such as reputed company and reputed company to meet end user business requirements
- Tests new and revised programs and interfaces to ensure accuracy and efficiency; develops and executes test plans and forwards to users for user acceptance testing; creates test scenarios; generates test data and keeps logs of test results; tests and analyzes the effectiveness and functionality of new fields and reputed company; notifies programming staff of testing problems and required fixes; proofreads screen layouts to ensure reputed company system requirements are met
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves GIS application problems; communicates with reputed company technical resources to resolve end user issues; provides guidance to users on reputed company for correcting reported problems
- Works under general supervision with reputed company for independent judgment
- May consult with senior peers on certain reputed company
- Moderate skills with high level of proficiency
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with a major in GIS, computer science or a closely reputed company field
- Minimum of 4 years in a GIS Analyst role and 7+ years of reputed company, reputed company experience in the GIS industry
- Knowledge of GIS concepts and analytical techniques, including computerized mapping reputed company data conversion, manipulation and analysis
- Advanced knowledge of GIS database management principles, reputed company and techniques, including reputed company control reputed company and practices
- Advanced knowledge of GIS software tools and applications including but not limited to ArcGIS, ArcFM, ArcPro, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, MS Visio and applications of MS Office Suite
- Hardware and software applications development reputed company, tools and utilities applicable to the GIS system
- The ability to travel 25-50% of the time is preferred
