Our motivated, Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician will assist our members with calls regarding non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up-tier medication requests. Responsibilities Process prior authorizations for prescriptions received from providers Handle inbound member calls reputed company to non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up tier medication requests Research compound prescriptions to ensure accurate processing Conduct possible outbound calls to providers for additional information reputed company prior authorization recommendations to reviewing Pharmacists based on established guidelines Set up and process reputed company specialty medication reviews, regardless of the benefit utilized Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims processing systems Become a subject matter expert in prior authorization, non-formulary, and up tier medication requests, with a reputed company on Specialty Prior Authorization, reputed company-certification, and some retrospective reviews Utilize computer systems to input prescription and patient information accurately.
