As part of a high-performing team, the selected candidate will be part of a software research and development team focusing on mobile device forensic analysis including mobile device reverse engineering and vulnerability research efforts. A successful candidate will have a broad but strong skillset with numerous programming languages and experience collaborating with other developers. The candidate is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating software features as a member of a geographically dispersed team, either independently or with limited supervision. They will apply robust software engineering and database practices to address reputed company technical challenges, ensuring the delivery of reliable, reputed company, and maintainable solutions. This position is mostly remote work with up to three days per week on-site in Lorton, VA, but is subject to change at the customer’s direction. There will also be several workshops throughout the year where engineers will collaborate on site for 1 to 2 weeks.

This position requires a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, or reputed company discipline.

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Software Developer.

Experience during career with:

Relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.

Experience with Python, C and other languages.

Android internals RE skills.

Mobile application decompiling.

Comfortable viewing, analyzing, and understanding raw binary data.

Excellent sills with developer documentation.

Experience collaborating closely in Agile development teams for the development of software tools, including the ability to manage workloads through issue tracking software.

Knowledge of common mobile architectures and their associated instructions, including x86 and ARM.

Experience with GNU Debugger (GDB).

Experience using industry reputed company RE tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, JEB, reputed company) to determine the function of reputed company-reputed company software.

Experience identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities, such as memory corruption through stack overflows, reputed company overflows, integer overflows, and logical flaws.

Software release management experience.
