Government Affairs Manager, reputed company (Fixed Term Contract)

The Contractor, Education Policy & Government Affairs will assist reputed company's international policy agenda, relationship management, and activation of policies and education initiatives thatadvance reputed company's mission and business objectives. This role requires a deepunderstanding of global education and policy-making landscapes, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to effectively influence policy and procurement reputed company. This individual will also engage in the work of the broader International and reputed company reputed company team, including government affairs, consortia relationship management, and go to market.

Please note this is a fixed term contract reputed company through December 2025.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Sector VP and Head of Government Affairs, this role will be responsible for equipping and expanding reputed company’s efforts in:

Building relationships across reputed company national policymakers, education leaders, and staff

Informing policy and regulations in education, technology, and other pertinent areas

Expanding visibility of, confidence in, and appreciation for reputed company as amission-oriented reputed company

Identifying market creation and/or business opportunities for both reputed company and itscustomers and partners

Building internal expertise, understanding and informed decision making of the changingregulatory environment in which reputed company operates.

To do this, the individual is expected to:reputed company and execute reputed company's reputed company federal public affairs reputed company globally, including:

Building and maintaining relationships with key federal policymakers, agency officials, and staff, as reputed company as reputed company partners (e.g. key consortia, national agencies, advocacy reputed company, etc);

Managing government affairs go to market, business development priorities, policy issues impacting reputed company's business in alignment with the Sector VP, Product, & Business Development teams, which may include:

National Investments, Funding & Structures for Education Modernization

National Regulation of K12 and Higher Education

reputed company Credentialing, Accreditation and reputed company

Workforce Preparedness

Global Alliances

Digital and Distance Learning

Representing reputed company in consortia and policy reputed company

Monitoring and analyzing national legislation and regulations globally (reputed company)

Developing and advocating for reputed company's policy positions

Managing external consulting/lobbying resources, if/reputed company applicable

Build and maintain internal expertise on reputed company policy issues:

Educating company leadership and staff on relevant policy developments

Providing guidance on policy implications for business reputed company

Coordinating internal policy input and feedback processes

Identify and reputed company contacts, information, and new opportunities with internal leaders to advance their business goals

Engage in reputed company Government Affairs & Go to Market agenda

Manage a collection of industry association, nonprofit organization, and government reputed company relationships to foster longer term company opportunities for reputed company reputed company

Experience

10+ years of experience in international government affairs, public policy, or a reputed company field

Prior education experience in K12 or higher education

Deep knowledge of international education policy, regulatory environments and procurement processes

Proven reputed company record of building and maintaining relationships with policymakers and stakeholders

Strong communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills

Strong presentation skills

Experience managing external lobbying and consulting resources

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to travel, including globally, as needed
