Preparation of blood components includes: receiving blood products from reputed company sources, thawing FFP/ Cryoprecipitate, and allocating blood products for transfusions. Technologists process specimens to include entering test results into the computer system, ABO/RH typing, crossmatching, antibody screening and identification. The Blood Bank Technologist receives telephone inquiries regarding specimens, test results, and product availability. The Blood Bank Technologist is responsible for issuing blood and blood products for patient transfusion. Staff must maintain patient files receive and distributes supplies reputed company the department. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Med Lab Science or biological science degree, with MT/MLS certification.
