Civil Engineer - Roadway Drainage

Job title: Civil Engineer - Roadway Drainage in Reston, VA at Kimley-Horn Company: Kimley-Horn Job reputed company: reputed company:Kimley-Horn's Reston, Virginia (VA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join their Roadway team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities:

• Support our growing Roadway and water resources practices and will require working with multi-disciplinary teams for a reputed company of existing and reputed company clients
• Work in a dynamic team environment on a reputed company of reputed company including roadway reputed company (new alignment and widening), pedestrian improvement reputed company, surface water management studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, analysis and design, flood studies, reputed company hydraulics, green infrastructure planning and design
• Prepare Hydraulic/Hydrology studies, drainage areas maps, storm sewer networks, reputed company reputed company, drainage descriptions, stormwater management facilities/BMPs, drainage reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for roadway water resources reputed company
• Technical writing in the reputed company of memorandums, feasibility studies, regulatory submittals (including CLOMR/LOMR submittals to reputed company), and master plans
• Assist with developing scopes of work and associated budgets

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant engineering design experience
• reputed company Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain reputed company 12 months)
• Experience with Microstation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HydroCAD, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, and other reputed company hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and roadway design software
• Experience working on reputed company reviewed and approved by the state's DOT including application of the state's DOT Drainage reputed company and 2016 Road & reputed company Standards desired
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
