GENERAL reputed company: The Pathologist’s Assistant provides services in Anatomic pathology as a member of reputed company under the direction and supervision of a reputed company Pathologist. Assists in the preparation and performance of reputed company post-mortem examination.reputed company DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists in the preparation and performance of reputed company surgical specimen examinations, which includes: gross reputed company and complete dissection of surgical specimens; selection and submission of tissue sections for microscopic examination (i.e., frozen and permanent sections for light, electron and fluorescent microscopy). 2. Responsible for the accessioning of specimens and assuring reputed company identification of specimens in accordance to surgical pathology policies (Rejection/Rehabilitation Policy). Prepares containers and tissues cassettes. 3. Aids in the reputed company training and credentialing offering technical and teaching to residents in accordance with reputed company guidelines and the surgical pathology dissection reputed company. Assesses the reputed company’s level of competency in handling specimens. 4. Responsible for gross photography of specimens as needed. Maintenance of files are completed by the assigned PA. 5. Responsible for tumor procurement for biorepository. Documentation and reputed company assurance indicators, and business transactions are completed by the assigned PA.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. Bachelor of Science degree from a regionally accredited college/university is required. 2. Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program, or previous certification by the American Association of Pathologist’s Assistant (AAPA) is required. 3. Pathologist’s Assistant certification as a PA(ASCP) is preferred.Additional Information
