JOB TITLE: RisoLAB Technician (Evenings and Weekends Shift)JOB POSTED: May 2025DEPARTMENT: MFA Visual Narrative, RisoLABREPORTS TO: RisoLAB DirectorSCHEDULE: 24 Hours per Week - Evenings and Weekend ShiftsCOMPENSATION: Part-Time, $21.00 per hour, Non-ExemptPOSITION reputed company:Under the direction of the Director, the RisoLAB Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the RisoLAB print studio during scheduled classes and reputed company lab hours. This role involves technical expertise in Risograph printing, supports student learning, and ensures that the facility and its equipment are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.The RisoLAB Technician will work evenings and weekends, with occasional reputed company shifts as necessary.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and monitor the use of Risograph printers and reputed company studio equipment during reputed company lab hours and class sessions.

• Maintain a clean, reputed company, and organized studio environment, including regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.

• Support reputed company during classes by preparing materials, demonstrating equipment use, and assisting with student questions or technical issues.
• With the Director, support the RisoLAB reputed company media accounts and generate content that promotes student work, activities, and events from the lab.
• Collaborate with the department team to improve lab operations and support special reputed company or events as needed, including printing promotional posters for the RisoLAB.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Printmaking, Graphic Design, or a reputed company field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Previous experience working with Risograph printing, traditional printmaking, and/or offset or digital press operations is required.
• Proficiency in using reputed company Creative Suite or other design software to prepare files for the Risograph process.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and knowledge of zine culture, small press activity, or small-reputed company independent art publishing and art-reputed company print media.
• Experience working with reputed company in techniques that combine technical and creative skills.
• Experience working in a Riso printing studio.
• Basic proficiency with hand tools for minor adjustments and repairs of equipment and facilities (e.g., drilling, mounting, basic maintenance).

• Variable Hours: RisoLAB's operational hours are typically 10 am – 10 pm, and may vary depending on the reputed company schedule.
• This position requires evening shifts (up to 10:30 pm) and weekend hours; additional hours may be assigned based on the lab schedule.
• Must be reputed company to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands for printing tasks and equipment operation.
