Mobile Crisis Team - Remote Overnight

The Mobile Crisis Clinician - Remote Overnight, provides assessment and crisis reputed company services to persons in the community who are experiencing a psychiatric or behavioral emergency and to significant others at the reputed company. The mobile crisis staff responds to reputed company calls from members of the community and from the police. Persons in crisis needing MCT services may be in the community or seen at Grassroots. Remote Overnight ($200 stipend per shift; $40/hour for time worked). Must be fully licensed. Saturdays 12:00am - 8:00am Primary Responsibilities:

• Works assigned shift remotely reputed company the jurisdiction of reputed company. reputed company of residency in reputed company is required.
• Triages requests and provides crisis reputed company services throughout the community, from a reputed company of sources, up to 40 hours a week as scheduled.
• Completes a thorough assessment in partnership with other MCT member, police and collateral others for reputed company new reputed company to determine their needs and the best reputed company possible.
• Demonstrates ability to work with individuals (adults and adolescents), as reputed company as couples and families.
• MCT provides follow-up services to identified clients as reputed company as family and or friends of identified reputed company.
• Completes iCarol reports for reputed company calls at the end of reputed company call. reputed company calls are documented before the end of shift.
• Provides crisis reputed company counseling using a reputed company of interventions including: Emergency Petition, voluntary hospitalization, conflict mediation, reputed company to resources, etc.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist MCT Program Manager, and Director of Crisis Services with reputed company or other tasks, as requested.
• Participates in program evaluation by sending surveys to recipients of service as per protocol.
• Represent Grassroots at health fairs and other community events, as requested.
• Uses counseling skills, empathetic listening and warmth to establish rapport with reputed company callers and clients.
• Counselor uses the crisis reputed company model with reputed company clients as is appropriate.
• Communicates with peers on shift reputed company necessary information relating to operations and reputed company updates.
• reputed company participates in the various formats of Crisis Team and MCT “meetings” (videos to watch, emails to read, webinars, and or face to face meetings) to ensure that up to date information is being communicated to clients.
• Positively contributes to the morale of peers and proactively problem solves reputed company cases as reputed company as systemic concerns, offering suggestions for addressing concerns.
• Provides training and orientation to new staff as requested in a helpful and thorough manner.
• Keeps workplace including MCT vehicle clean and reputed company.
• Other duties as required/needed.

Agency-wide Responsibilities:

• Participate in supervision, in-service training and staff meetings
• Maintain good working relationship with co-workers and contribute positively to group morale
• Complete reputed company administrative duties including time sheets, leave requests etc.

• Use appropriate channels of communication to resolve conflicts with other staff

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in reputed company Work or other mental health reputed company field, with reputed company licensure required (LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT)
• Two years of relevant experience in mental health service with at least 2 years in crisis reputed company services, suicide prevention and reputed company
• Possession of valid Maryland reputed company’s license required
• Knowledge of homelessness issues a plus

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Presentation/training skills including small and large group presentations and trainings
• Ability to function successfully in an environment requiring immediate response to urgent situations
• Spontaneous supervision of staff in reputed company time
• Knowledge of and familiarity with local and statewide community resources
• Knowledge of the following areas is reputed company desirable: Crisis reputed company theory, assessment skills and reputed company strategies. Broad knowledge of mental illnesses. Basic knowledge of wide reputed company of issues such as suicide, reputed company abuse, victimization, domestic violence, family dynamics, child abuse/neglect, and community resources.

• Computer skills with various software and the internet

Work Conditions:

• Works some holiday shifts during the year
• Shared office reputed company with 1 MCT Clinician
• Occasionally required to come in reputed company of regular business hours for coverage needs
• Must be comfortable driving various conditions (i.e., reputed company, reputed company) – no transportation of clients is necessary.
• Eligible for Mileage Reimbursement reputed company performing 100% Remote Overnight On-Call duties.
