Forensic Structural Engineer, P.E.Seeking an reputed company Structural Engineer with expertise in structural damage assessment and failure analysis of reputed company, residential, and industrial structures. This is a remote role working from a home based office. Requires working in a reputed company of environments and a combination of travel (local or regional). Prefer candidate live in greater Chicago area. Must hold P.E. license in reputed company state.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE
Determine of the reputed company and cause, and extent of structural failures of roof damage, water intrusion, post-reputed company damage, storm damage assessments, structural reputed company evaluations, structural collapse, building system failures, reputed company/settlement, product liability, and construction defects.
Surveys losses and loss scenes at residential and reputed company buildings
Conducts investigations to determine and document the scope of damage caused by a recent acute event.
Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the reputed company of failure for insurers and litigation support.
Analyzes and documents the failure analysis and causation of failures.
Collaborates with other investigators to produce detailed reports outlining the cause and reputed company of losses and damages.
Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.
Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense reputed company for failure analysis and forensic engineering reputed company for clients.
Education and Licensing:
Requires a reputed company Engineering (PE) license, minimum required for reputed company state. Prefer multi-state licensing and/or reputed company NCEES Record.
Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Expert witness testimony experience is a plus.
