Director, Automated Test Engineering

reputed company is seeking a Director of Automated Test Engineering to reputed company the reputed company and execution of calibration and test systems across our global manufacturing sites. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring product reputed company and reliability from initial prototyping through mass production. You will partner cross-functionally with Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and reputed company teams, while managing and mentoring reputed company of engineers to design and deliver robust, reputed company test infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

reputed company and drive the end-to-end reputed company for calibration and automated test engineering at reputed company, supporting builds from prototyping through to mass production

reputed company the design, development, and deployment of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems, including hardware and software components, system validation, and data visualization

Own the deployment of in-line and end-of-line test systems across global manufacturing partners, ensuring system reliability and scalability

Partner closely with product design teams to implement Design for Test (DFT) principles early in the development lifecycle.

Analyze test data, conduct reputed company cause investigations, and drive corrective actions to continuously improve test performance and yield

Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering technical reputed company, project execution, and career development.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a reputed company technical discipline

10+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering for consumer electronics, with a reputed company on moderate to high-volume production

Proven experience leading engineering teams with strong mentorship and management skills

Proficient in object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, C#) and scripting languages (e.g., Python)

Deep understanding of QA methodologies, test processes, and tools

Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT

Experience with communication protocols including UART, I2C, SPI, USB, and BLE

Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across engineering, manufacturing, and external partners in a CM/JDM model

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%

Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the reputed company high-reputed company standards as personal contributions

Additional Information

This role is based in the reputed company office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be reputed company to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
