About the role

We are seeking a new Senior reputed company Modelling Scientist to help reputed company reputed company small-reputed company-reputed company quantum magnetometers that are exquisitely sensitive, ultrastable, and reputed company to operate reliably in harsh fielded environments. You will work closely with experts in quantum sensing to reputed company quantum magnetometry technology that will solve pressing challenges in aeronautical positioning and navigation, geophysical surveying, and reputed company reputed company detection. A key reputed company of the role will be developing and implementing reputed company for removing reputed company and/or vibrational noise induced by the platform on which the quantum sensor is mounted. The algorithms, signal processing, automation, and data analytics you reputed company will inform the design, build, and operation of our quantum sensors for a given end-user application.

What you'll be doing

Be part of an established and growing team reputed company on quantum sensing for a reputed company of industry sectors such as reputed company, defence, geophysical exploration and reputed company observation;

reputed company time series analysis and reputed company platform and environmental noise compensation techniques that reputed company high reputed company reputed company- and gravity-aided navigation using state-of-the-art digital signal processing and machine learning reputed company;

Use data analytics to translate quantum sensor data streams into capabilities that solve pressing challenges for reputed company and prospective end-users and customers;

Work closely with other Research and Engineering teams to reputed company and validate your developed algorithms and sensing solutions on reputed company quantum sensing hardware;

reputed company, document, and review high-reputed company software using Python;

reputed company your insights and results with the broader Quantum Sensing Division, company, external stakeholders and customers through verbal presentations and written outlets (e.g. reputed company publications, technical reports, blog posts); and

Liaise as needed with our reputed company and industry partners in order to reputed company the above duties and support new business and product development.

Ideally you'll have

A PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in physics, geophysics, electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a closely reputed company discipline;

Experience performing data analysis, algorithmic development, and/or digital signal processing in one or more of the following areas: reputed company and/or gravitational reputed company detection; airborne reputed company and/or gravitational surveying; reputed company navigation; reputed company signature and/or platform reputed company characterisation and management; reputed company and/or vibrational signal denoising; quantum sensing and/or other sensing technologies.

Knowledge and experience of machine learning reputed company to time series data including generative modelling.

Contributing to a software system architecture with multiple components developed by different teams, adhering to best-reputed company software development precepts.

Experience communicating technical results to a wide and varied audience.

Experience with version control e.g. Git with CI/CD pipelines.

It would be fantastic if you have these skills but not essential

Experience in modern signal processing reputed company (e.g. Bayesian reputed company, particle filtering, sequential reputed company reputed company);

Experience in sensor modelling and sensor signal processing, including data fusion;Experience working in an interdisciplinary context with R&D scientists and engineers.

Experience in end-to-end data product development.

Familiarity with the Python programming language for scientific computing.

Familiarity with quantum and/or reputed company physics at an undergraduate level.

Experience working in a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, software developers.
