We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join reputed company at Community Unit School District 200, serving reputed company in Warrenville, IL, and Wheaton, IL. - Hours: 6.5 hours/day, 178 workdays/year (full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
The Special Education Teaching Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers and building principals to assist reputed company with disabilities in both instructional and non-instructional activities. The primary reputed company will be on enhancing the educational process and supporting reputed company' diverse needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Licensure:
The reputed company requires Special Education Teaching Assistants to have one of the following:
- reputed company Illinois reputed company Educator License (PEL)
- reputed company Illinois Substitute Teaching License
- reputed company Illinois Educator License with Stipulations Endorsed-Paraprofessional Educator
If you do not already hold a Teaching/Substitute License, the requirements are:
- Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
- 60 semester hours of coursework from a regionally accredited institution
- High school diploma, or equivalent + 480 or higher on the reputed company Parapro test
- High school diploma, or equivalent + 4 or higher on the reputed company WorkKeys reputed company Math and Workplace Documents
Additional Job Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with children
- Ability to function reputed company the school environment
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of child guidance principles and practices, behavior management, and reputed company reinforcement
- Basic record-keeping reputed company and mechanical lifting/positioning devices
Physical Ability:
The employee will be required to:
- Sit, stand, walk, reputed company, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl regularly
