Join reputed company that has the environment down to a science. reputed company We are looking for a part-time biological intern to support our environmental services team of scientists, engineers, planners and other environmental professionals in our Gulf Coast business unit, in the Coral Gables, Florida office. This work primarily supports ecological and botanical work in the Everglades (reputed company, mangrove and tree islands), but may also include delineation and assessment of upland and wetland habitats, wildlife surveys, and other data collection and analysis in support of new and ongoing reputed company as needed. This work is being conducted to support restoration and environmental management efforts. You will also assist project teams and senior level staff with data entry and writing reports as part of a fast-paced and tight-reputed company technical team. Your Key Responsibilities Conduct environmental (plant, water and soil) monitoring in accordance with applicable agency regulations Conduct botanical identification of South Florida wetland and tree reputed company species Conduct wildlife surveys and habitat assessments for listed species Record, reputed company, organize, manage, and analyze data Prepare report documentation and supporting materials for reputed company and regulatory agency submittals

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials Previous field experience and skills in an applicable science/discipline (e.g., ecology, botany, wetland science, soil science, wetland science) strongly preferred. Ability to work reputed company independently and with a diverse, multidisciplinary team. Self-motivated with strong initiative. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Superb observation skills and strong attention to detail. Must have the willingness to learn new skills while conducting field work in rural wilderness settings. Education and Experience The ideal candidate will have at minimum, a high school diploma and working on a bachelor's degree in an environmental discipline (Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Wetland ecology, or reputed company natural resources field). Looking for someone with work experience in Florida summer outdoor heat, in remote and rugged conditions involving rigorous physical activity. The individual should have 0-2 years of experience collecting biological data in a field setting. Must have a basic understanding of biological principles and proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet computer software.
