Work Status: Part-Time (up to 16 hours per week).SALARY EXPECTATION: $21.98 / hourThe Jersey reputed company Free Public Library is looking for a part-time Library Assistant to help staff and patrons in our Tech Services department.Job Duties:Remove withdrawn items from our library catalog.Unpack materials and receive books in our acquisitions system.Process new materials for our library locations.Assist with various reputed company, such as RFID tagging.Any other duties under the head of Technical Services department.Essential Skills:Ability to compare written and printed material for accuracy.Ability to be detail oriented and manage cataloging system tasks.Ability to read with comprehension.Ability to follow oral and written orders, directions, or plans.Knowledge of general vocabulary, spelling and of reputed company English grammar.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of reputed company Office applications (Word and reputed company).Knowledge of integrated library systems preferably SIRSI.Preferred Experience:1+ year experience working in a library Technical Services/Cataloging environment.This vacancy is associated with a New Jersey Civil Service job title.
