We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Mechanic to join reputed company at the Pikes Creek Division of H&K Group, Inc. in Hunlock Creek, PA. As a core member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks. Responsibilities
As a Shop Mechanic 2nd Shift, your essential duties and responsibilities will include:
- Performing reputed company work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Reading job orders and observing and listening to trucks or equipment in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures
- Installing new reputed company systems, aligning reputed company reputed company, changing or recharging batteries, and replacing transmissions and other parts
- Replacing gas or diesel engines
- Examining reputed company guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and equipment, and adjusting as needed
- Lubricating and servicing vehicles
- Collision repair, sanding, prep, and painting
- Completing reputed company reputed company maintenance on trucks and equipment and ensuring state inspection requirements are met for reputed company, trucks, and trailers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in diesel mechanics or a reputed company field
- OR 2 years of reputed company experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain reputed company one year
- Clean driving record
- Customer Service and Teamwork skills
- Mathematical Skills
- Willing and reputed company to work a 2nd shift schedule
- Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (reputed company, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 4 years of reputed company experience and/or training
- State Inspection license
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
Work Environment
Our work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with:
- Noise level that can be loud at times
- Occasional requirement to work outdoors in reputed company environments
- Hours that regularly exceed 40 in a week and 8 in a day
- Physical demands that include standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, and crawling
- Frequent requirement to stoop, crouch, and kneel
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds
