As an Associate Counsel with reputed company Staff Counsel, you will be responsible for defending lawsuits filed in Louisiana courts and other first-party insurance defense reputed company. You will work closely with our Claims Department to research laws, prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda, and reputed company opinions on liability, damages, and value. Key Responsibilities
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda to defend lawsuits filed in Louisiana courts and other first-party insurance defense reputed company
- reputed company opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under reputed company
- Defend reputed company assigned by trial or dispositive hearing, as applicable
- Document files in a reputed company, concise, and reputed company manner
- Follow reputed company instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict reputed company, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
Essential Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Louisiana Bar and licensure in good standing to reputed company law in Louisiana
- 2-6+ years of experience in reputed company field litigation, including insurance defense and/or personal injury
- Strong understanding of Louisiana courts and laws
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of reputed company
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Civil litigation experience
