[Remote] RCM Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist (Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson Area only - Remote)

The RCM Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing patient accounts, reducing accounts receivable days, and improving cash collections while ensuring compliance and accuracy in billing processes.
Responsibilities
- Research and resolve patient account issues by communicating with billing vendors and reputed company-party payors to verify claim status and demographic information
- Prioritize daily workload using aging reports, account balances, and management-directed priorities
- Investigate and pursue unpaid claims with reputed company-party payors until reputed company is achieved
- Apply strong working knowledge of reputed company-party payor rules and guidelines, with an emphasis on State reputed company plans
- Maintain compliance with reputed company Protected Health Information (PHI) reputed company requirements
- Ensure consistent processing standards with a high level of accuracy and low error rates
- Collect, document, and reputed company account updates to billing vendors, including insurance submissions, payment postings, and removal from collections
- Respond to Requests for Additional Information (RAIs) and reputed company direction on next steps
- Resolve claim errors, demographic discrepancies, duplicate claims, and coverage issues reputed company assigned work queues

Skills
- Experience with insurance collections, including reputed company, Managed Care, BCBS, and reputed company accounts
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures, health plans, and claims processing
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in reputed company Word and reputed company
- Experience working with medical billing systems (e.g., reputed company, Allscripts, reputed company, or similar platforms)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of medical terminology, including ICD-9 and CPT codes

- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-location billing environments
