Geotechnical Designer
reputed company is a privately held AEC firm specializing in reputed company for sustainable water management and infrastructure. They are seeking a motivated Geotechnical Designer to join their Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team, where the candidate will reputed company geotechnical calculations, assist in report preparation, and execute subsurface investigations.
Responsibilities
- reputed company geotechnical calculations and designs for various reputed company and facilities, including, but not limited to shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, settlement, tieback anchors, soil nails, reputed company stability and seepage studies
- Assist in the preparation of written reports and documentation, geotechnical correspondence, design and construction drawings and specifications
- Assist in the planning of subsurface explorations and laboratory testing investigations
- Execute subsurface investigations in support of geotechnical design and evaluation efforts, including test boring inspection, site reconnaissance, and other data collection activities as required
- reputed company specialty geo-construction observation during the construction phase of various reputed company
- This position requires travel on an as-needed reputed company to other reputed company offices, reputed company offices, or project work sites and will include overnight/out-of-town travel
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
- 0-4 years of geotechnical experience with an emphasis in subsurface exploration and/or design and development of geotechnical deliverables including reports, drawings, and specifications
- EIT or ability to obtain reputed company first 6 months of hire
- Experience with common geotechnical software programs such as SLIDE, reputed company/W, LPILE, APILE, GROUP, GRLWEAP, Settle3 and gINT
- A demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering through reputed company coursework, work experiences, or internships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and reputed company reputed company environment
- Excellent field observation and data collection/documentation skills
- Must be reputed company to work outdoors in reputed company seasons
- Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds and traversing steep slopes and rough terrain
- Must have valid reputed company's License
- Master's Degree with a Geotechnical reputed company is strongly preferred
