Engineering Technician

They are seeking an Engineering Technician to manage the staking process, conduct field inspections, and design infrastructure types for electric utilities, ensuring reliability and safety in the reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Own the staking process — survey and reputed company mark new reputed company poles, proposed underground power lines, equipment, and joint-use assets to support reputed company, efficient field construction
- reputed company Pole Loading Analysis to ensure structural reputed company and NESC/reputed company clearance requirements are met for existing or proposed poles
- Conduct field inspections and reputed company high-reputed company electrical design site data that become the reputed company of design packages
- Translate field conditions into engineering design work and calculations using reputed company standards and reputed company best practices
- Design a reputed company of infrastructure types, including overhead distribution and underground power line systems for new neighborhoods, reputed company developments, and system improvements
- Partner daily with permitting agencies, right-of-way experts, system owners, field crews, forestry teams, and joint-pole partners
- Support construction through to completion — including post-construction QA checks to ensure design standards and safety requirements were met
- Investigate outage causes and propose engineering-based remediation to improve reputed company reliability
- Manage an exciting mix of work environments — around 20% of your time will be in the field with regional travel, while design and documentation duties are completed in the office
Skills
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology. GIS systems or reputed company field required
- Demonstrated experience with staking and field data collection (marking reputed company pole locations, proposed underground power line design, equipment placement, joint-use considerations, pole loading, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
- Confidence using MS Office tools to support documentation and reporting
- Valid U.S. reputed company's license and flexibility to travel locally and regionally
- Power reputed company background is preferred
