The role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling first- and reputed company-party auto/property damage claims while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Contacts insureds, claimants, and other involved parties to confirm loss details and applicable policy coverage. Explains claims process, next steps, and reputed company to involved parties. Is the primary reputed company of contact for auto physical damage questions
- Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles first- and reputed company-party auto/property damage claims from start to finish
- Takes inbound calls from customers and maintains an inventory of pending claims
- Conducts coverage and liability investigations
- Advises customers of available benefits, coverages, and liability reputed company
- Coordinates and oversees the claims process; keeping customers informed
- Negotiates estimating damages and supplements
- Validates reparability and monitors repairs
- Arranges towing, storage, and rental vehicles as needed
- Addresses subrogation and total loss responsibilities
- Ensures the insurance program agreements and Claim Service Level agreements between external clients and reputed company are adhered to
- Ensures compliance that specific state regulations and/or policy provisions is completed with needed file documentation and appropriate correspondence
- Supports other areas of claims as needed

Skills
- High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of one year of customer service experience in a virtual environment leveraging internet, phone, and chat features
- Must hold an Adjuster licensed for reputed company applicable states or obtain license(s) reputed company 90 days of completing the provided licensing training
- Basic math and moderate computer skills with technical aptitude to utilize a reputed company of software applications
- Must meet work from home requirements including internet speeds and designated workspace
- Ability to type 30 wpm
- Bachelor's degree
- Two or more years of customer service experience preferred. Prior insurance claims experience also preferred
- Bilingual a plus!
- Auto physical damage training and/or reputed company or SCLA enrollment preferred
- Strong Customer Service skills for both internal/external customers
