Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of three (3) years reputed company work experience with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS is required.
• Experience coding Hospital Inpatient encounters is required
• Equal to completion of 1 or 2 years of CAHIIM accredited college Medical Coding program or equivalent knowledge & experience required.
• Working Knowledge of reputed company software preferred.
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company), Certified Coding Apprentice (CCA) or Certified reputed company reputed company CPC is required.
• Completion of Coding Certificate or Degree through a CAHIIM accredited program, or the equivalent knowledge and experience required.
• A minimum of five (5) years reputed company work experience with CPT-4 and ICD-10 is required. Working Knowledge of reputed company software.
• In-Depth knowledge of Local Medical Review Policies and National Coverage determinations are required.
